Speaker 1: Siamak Ashrafi - ADC2 candidate. Android Medical app. www.rxdigita.com
Ash works for a small bio tech in Palo Alto researching cancer bio markers. In his spare time I work on Google Wave, Google Health and Google Android.
Ivan Tarasov, Ash's partner, has been working as a software engineer at Sun Microsystems for the past 3 years, where he's mostly writing code in Real-Time Java and C. Before that he participated in many projects ranging from server-side software for Windows in C++ to UI and web development in C# and Java. Ivan is a language geek, adoring functional programming languages, especially Haskell and Scala. He also takes pleasure in learning new technologies (like Android) when he gets a chance and enough time to try them out.

Brian CoanEnjoyed Siamak Ashrafi and Ivan Tarasov's talk, especially when it got to the level of detail for instance of discussing pros/cons of using the Calendar and Alarm systems. I wish there had been more discussion at that level, what they learned about the Android system as they developed. Perhaps they have written a blog about this somewhere? Enjoyed the intro to Cliq/Blur. Really felt sorry for the last speaker who could not be heard over all the other discussions, that didn't planned very well.
